Ceramics (Pottery)
Both adult and children's classes will explore hand construction techniques such as slab, coil and pinch pots making decrative ceramic art. The course will also explore various methods for designing and applying patterns and imprints in the greenware before firing.
Drawing and Painting
The adult course will be aimed for the beginner in their choice of media, oil, acrylic or watercolour. All the basics in the students chosen medium will be covered from the sketch to finished painting. Basic colour mixing, colour theory, composition, design, shapes and light will be explored to create the illusion of 3 D.
The children's course will explore creative projects in various medium including collage, watercolour, mixed media, string drawing and other drawing and painting media will be used.
Printmaking
The exploration of the printing types of lino block, mono print, watercolour print and more along with art appreatiation will be the bases for this exciting and informative course for both adults and children.
